Simi Valley Unfied School District

Dress Code

Policy

There is a strong relationship between good dress habits, good work habits, and proper school behavior. Students are encouraged to dress in a way that demonstrates pride in themselves and Sinaloa Middle School. The dress code was not created to interfere with a student’s free choice but to ensure that our student’s first priority while at school is learning!

In accordance with the Governing Board we believe that appropriate dress and grooming contribute to a productive learning environment. As our school dress code is in compliance with our Board Policies and Administrative Regulations, we expect our students to give proper attention to personal cleanliness and to wear clothes that are suitable for the school activities in which they participate. Students have the right to make individual choices from a wide range of clothing and grooming styles, but they must not present a health or safety hazard or a distraction which would interfere with the educational process.  (Simi Valley Unified School District | AR 5132 Students)
