Welcome letter sent to all Sinaloa students 8-16-17 6:30 pm:

 

Good Evening Sinaloa Sabers!

Welcome to Sinaloa MS!  We have been waiting for you and the time is here!  School begins tomorrow at 8:15 am when all students will report to their assigned homeroom classes.  Students can look at their homeroom assignment which is posted at the front of the school.  Students will receive their full schedules in homeroom. 

FOR THOSE STUDENTS WHO WILL HAVE A ZERO PERIOD... classes will not begin until TUESDAY, AUGUST 29th.  This is due to our beginning of school special schedules and taking things slow for students to learn their new transitions.  In addition, for the first five days of school students will have a staggered lunch with different times each day due to our special schedules. 

Tomorrow students only need to bring to school their agenda book (ours or store bought), paper, pen, pencil and a backpack or book bag to keep things in.  DO NOT BRING TO SCHOOL PE CLOTHES OR LOCKS UNTIL THESE ITEMS ARE NEEDED.  Lockers will not be assigned to students until next week when they receive their textbooks. 

Tomorrow morning in the front of the school by the counseling office, our PTSA volunteers will be selling agenda books and locks.  If you purchase them tonight online, and bring your printed purchase receipt there will be a speed line for you. 

Tomorrow and Friday the school day ends at 3:05.  REMEMBER, that Thursdays are a 2:05 dismissal time.  THANK YOU ahead of time for practicing patience in our parking lot.  New families need to learn the routine and this takes time.  Please practice safety when driving in the lot. 

We look forward to meeting your students tomorrow morning with our very special Sinaloa greeting taking place out in the front of the school!

Homerooms will be posted outside of the Counseling office after 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 15th. School begins Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Students will receive their full schedules during homeroom on the first day of school.

 

2017-2018 Bell Schedule 

(Zero period classes will begin Tuesday, August 29th.)

 

On MONDAY, AUGUST 14th the 6th grade students and parents are invited to stop by anytime between 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm to find and see your homeroom classroom and teacher.  While it is not a time to conference with the teacher, it is a time to say hello and introduce yourselves. This is only for 6th grade.

Agenda Book - $10.00

PE Shorts - $10.00

 

Locks and agenda books (no P.E. clothes) will be sold in front of the school on Wednesday, August 16th  from 7:30 am to 8:10 am. Credit cards will not be accepted at that time. All sales will be cash and checks for the exact purchase amount. Checks should be made out to Sinaloa Middle School.

 

Students who purchase their lock and agenda book online, and bring a paper receipt showing the completed purchase, will receive their lock and/or agenda book in a separate "Express" line.

 

2017-2018 Agenda Book

 

School lockers* will be assigned by the homeroom teachers on Tuesday, August 22nd. The only locks allowed on school lockers are locks purchased at Sinaloa. Combination locks purchased at Sinaloa from previous years are allowed. Non-Sinaloa locks will be removed and may be cut off the lockers.

 

P.E. locks and lockers will be distributed by the P.E. teachers during P.E. class. P.E. locks do not require a purchase. Students do not need their P.E. clothes the first week of school. The P.E. teachers will tell the students when it is time to bring their P.E. clothes.

 

*All parents and students must have an active Aeries Portal account in order to view grades, attendance and other important information. Parents must complete the Parents’ Rights, AUP forms through their Aeries Parent Portal each year as well as the Agenda Book signature pages. Students will NOT be able to access electronic devices, computers, lockers etc., until these forms are completed by their parent.
